(CASTELLANO) Presunto culpable parte de una idea con mucho potencial: un hombre que regresa a su pueblo natal en el País Vasco, marcado por la desaparición de su novia y por las sospechas de ser el responsable. La trama promete tensión, secretos familiares y un entorno cargado de silencios que podrían convertirse en puro suspense. Sin embargo, lo que podría haber sido un thriller vibrante se queda a medio camino por culpa de un desarrollo excesivamente lento. La ambientación es quizá lo más destacado. Los paisajes vascos, con sus bosques y costas agrestes, no solo son un marco espectacular, sino que aportan un aire de calma inquietante que contrasta con el misterio central. La fotografía consigue que cada plano tenga fuerza, reforzando esa sensación de noir escandinavo que tanto parece haber inspirado la serie. En cuanto a las interpretaciones, Miguel Ángel Muñoz cumple bien en un papel exigente y más maduro de lo que nos tenía acostumbrados. Pero quienes realmente brillan son Susi Sánchez y Elvira Mínguez, que sostienen con solidez cada escena que pisan. El problema está en algunos secundarios que resultan poco creíbles y en un guion que, en ocasiones, parece dar vueltas innecesarias para mantener el misterio. El ritmo es el gran obstáculo: la serie tarda demasiado en arrancar y abusa de flashbacks y subtramas que no siempre suman. Esa cadencia tan pausada puede enganchar a quienes disfruten de un thriller reposado, pero también frustra a los que buscan mayor dinamismo. En definitiva, Presunto culpable es una producción cuidada en lo visual y con buenos intérpretes, pero lastrada por un guion irregular y una narrativa demasiado lenta. No es un desastre, pero tampoco logra brillar; se queda en un punto intermedio que deja la sensación de que había material para mucho más. The story promises tension, family secrets, and a setting filled with silence that could have turned into pure suspense. However, what could have been a gripping thriller ends up falling short due to its excessively slow development. The setting is perhaps the highlight. The Basque landscapes, with their forests and rugged coasts, are not only spectacular but also provide a sense of unsettling calm that contrasts with the central mystery. The cinematography gives each frame weight, reinforcing that Scandinavian noir vibe that clearly inspired the series. As for the performances, Miguel Ángel Muñoz delivers a solid turn in a more mature and demanding role than usual. Yet, it’s Susi Sánchez and Elvira Mínguez who truly stand out, bringing gravitas to every scene they appear in. The problem lies with some supporting characters who feel unconvincing and with a script that sometimes circles around unnecessarily to maintain suspense. The pacing is the main issue: the show takes too long to get going, relying heavily on flashbacks and subplots that don’t always add value. This deliberately slow cadence may appeal to viewers who enjoy a patient thriller, but it can frustrate those expecting more drive. In the end, Presumed Guilty is a visually polished production with strong performances, but it’s weighed down by an uneven script and overly slow storytelling. Not a disaster, but far from a standout—it leaves the impression that the material could have been much more.
