(CASTELLANO) No es una serie que te pida paciencia, pero sí cierta disposición a dejarte llevar. Desde el principio plantea un misterio claro, reconocible, casi cómodo, y lo utiliza como punto de partida para algo más enrevesado. Hay investigación, hay cuentas pendientes, hay venganzas cruzadas, pero nada está colocado de la manera más obvia. Eso mantiene el interés incluso cuando parece que ya sabes por dónde van a ir los tiros. Funciona bien en el terreno del suspense porque dosifica la información con bastante mala intención, en el buen sentido. Nunca te da exactamente lo que crees que necesitas, y cuando lo hace suele venir acompañado de un matiz incómodo. No es una serie elegante ni especialmente sutil, pero sí lo bastante astuta como para evitar convertirse en un simple pasatiempo de fondo. El mayor acierto está en sus personajes. No hay nadie realmente agradable, y eso juega a su favor. Todos cargan con algo, todos esconden más de lo que enseñan, y esa sensación de desconfianza constante es lo que sostiene la narración. Las relaciones se tensan, se deforman, y en ese proceso la serie encuentra su tono más interesante. En lo narrativo no todo está igual de afinado. Hay decisiones que suenan familiares, giros que parecen responder más a la necesidad de sorprender que a una lógica interna sólida. A ratos da la impresión de apoyarse demasiado en fórmulas conocidas del thriller contemporáneo, y ahí pierde algo de personalidad. No llega a estropearla, pero sí a hacerla menos incisiva de lo que podría haber sido. Aun así, se deja ver con facilidad. El ritmo acompaña, los episodios empujan a seguir, y cuando se sale de lo esperado gana enteros. No es una serie que redefina el género ni que deje una huella profunda, pero tampoco se limita a cumplir por inercia. Tiene momentos que enganchan y otros que incomodan, y esa mezcla le sienta mejor de lo que parece. En conjunto, es una propuesta entretenida, con suficiente mala leche y tensión emocional como para justificar el viaje. Imperfecta, irregular por momentos, pero consciente de lo que quiere contar. From the outset it sets up a clear, familiar, almost comfortable mystery, and uses it as a starting point for something more twisted. There is investigation, there are unresolved scores, there are intersecting acts of revenge, but nothing is arranged in the most obvious way. That keeps the interest alive even when it seems like you already know where it’s heading. It works well as a piece of suspense because it doles out information with a certain malicious intent, in the best sense of the word. It never gives you exactly what you think you need, and when it does, it usually comes with an uncomfortable edge. It’s not an elegant or particularly subtle series, but it’s clever enough to avoid becoming simple background entertainment. Its greatest strength lies in its characters. There’s no one truly likable, and that plays in its favor. Everyone carries something with them, everyone hides more than they show, and that constant sense of distrust is what holds the narrative together. Relationships tighten, warp, and strain, and it’s in that process that the series finds its most interesting tone. Narratively, not everything is equally polished. Some choices feel familiar, and certain twists seem driven more by the need to surprise than by a solid internal logic. At times it leans too heavily on well-worn formulas of contemporary thrillers, and there it loses some of its personality. It doesn’t ruin the experience, but it does make it less sharp than it could have been. Even so, it’s easy to watch. The pacing works, the episodes push you to keep going, and when it steps away from expectations it gains momentum. It’s not a series that redefines the genre or leaves a lasting mark, but it doesn’t just coast along either. It has moments that hook you and others that unsettle you, and that mix suits it better than one might expect. Overall, it’s an entertaining proposal, with enough bite and emotional tension to justify the journey. Imperfect, uneven at times, but aware of what it wants to tell. One of those series that won’t change your life, but works while it lasts.
