(CASTELLANO) Hay series que entran por pura presencia, y esta es de esas. Desde los primeros minutos, Tierra de mafiosos deja claro que su mayor arma no es la trama –que ya la hemos visto mil veces– sino ese desfile de actores que parece estar disfrutando más que nadie. Tom Hardy está brutal, pero quien me ha dejado loco es Harry (Paddy Considine): cada gesto, cada silencio, cada mirada… es de esos personajes que te incomodan sin levantar la voz. Y luego está Helen Mirren, que aquí directamente da miedo. Una frialdad que corta, una maldad sin freno. Impone muchísimo. La historia no sorprende demasiado, pero funciona. Tiene ese punto reconocible de las ficciones de mafias familiares, con traiciones, tensiones y conversaciones que parecen una calma tensa a punto de estallar. Podría tener más filo, sí, pero aun así mantiene un pulso que engancha. Se nota que hay oficio detrás, aunque el guion se mueva bastante dentro de lo esperado. Lo que más me ha gustado es cómo respira la serie cuando los personajes se cruzan. Hay escenas que están escritas casi para lucimiento del reparto, y sinceramente, no me quejo. Da gusto ver a gente tan buena haciendo que algo sencillo parezca más grande. Hardy tiene esa amenaza contenida que te deja con la sensación de que algo puede romperse en cualquier momento. Y Mirren… qué barbaridad. Está despiadada. También me ha sorprendido lo bien que se equilibra la tensión con un humor muy oscuro, muy de Ritchie, aunque sin llegar a su caos habitual. Aquí todo es más controlado, más seco. No busca reinventar el género, pero sí te mantiene dentro del mundo que construye. En resumen, es una serie que no aporta nada nuevo, pero está tan bien interpretada que te da igual. A mí, por lo menos, me ha tenido pegado todo el tiempo, sobre todo gracias a Hardy y a Mirren, que están directamente inmensos. (ENGLISH) Some shows win you over simply because of who’s on screen, and this is exactly one of those cases. From the first minutes, MobLand makes it clear that the plot isn’t its strongest weapon — we’ve all seen this kind of crime-family setup before — but the cast absolutely devours the frame. Tom Hardy is fantastic, of course, but the one who truly knocked me out is Harry (Paddy Considine). Every tiny gesture, every pause, every stare… he’s unsettling without even raising his voice. And Helen Mirren is terrifying here — pure ice. She radiates this cold, merciless energy that makes you sit up straight. The story doesn’t break new ground, but it works. It has that familiar rhythm of betrayals, tension, and calm moments that feel like they’re seconds away from exploding. It could use a bit more bite, sure, but it still holds your attention. You can feel the craft behind it, even if the script plays safely within the genre. What I enjoyed most is how the show comes alive when the characters face off. Some scenes seem written just to let the actors shine, and honestly, I’m not complaining. Hardy has that quiet, coiled danger that makes every scene unpredictable. And Mirren… she’s a force of nature. There’s also a touch of dark humor — very Guy Ritchie — but more controlled, less chaotic. It doesn’t try to reinvent anything, yet it keeps you inside its world without effort. In the end, it’s a series that doesn’t offer anything new, but the performances are so strong that it hardly matters. It kept me hooked, especially thanks to Harry and Mirren, who are simply outstanding.
