There is no doubt that the story of Gerasim adapted from Ivan Turgenev, closely related to that of Kaspa Hauser, if you know what I mean, is also like those old legends that have a little bit of everything, truth or lie. of morality and sadness; the gigantic Gerasim whose innocent and robust human nature was fused in the crucible of the countryside, suddenly has a 180 degree turn when he moves through a somewhat cruel mockery of destiny to the city; Since the fateful day when the old high-born lady saw him and hired him, after being assisted by the enormous mute to fix his carriage, Gerasim lives somewhat nostalgically hauling wood in the royal mansion until he meets Tanya; Tatyana helped the deaf mute after he was hit by a carriage and from then on Gerasim never wanted to leave her side. Unfortunately, fate often spices up the destiny of humans and the life of certain tribulations of the gigantic Gerasim, discreetly courting Tatyana by giving a wooden doll and taking care of her, only to be judged by the other servants as a beast, as a bear or as a demon (and he does not even speak to the molets to them), to this constant misfortune was added that one day the boss of the old millionaire, Gavril, informed Tatyana that her mistress and mistress had chosen her husband. Tatyana almost had a heart attack when she found out that it was the fatuous and drunk Bashmacnik. It is almost impossible to remain indifferent (there is no corniness or sentimental antics) to the scene where Tanya sings disconsolately about the future that seems to await her. This precipitates plot events because the unhappy Tanya Tantyana prefers to remain faithful to her mistress and mistress than to accept the mute; He preferred to accept the alcoholic and a year later they were both sent to ostracism as punishment for not disciplining themselves for stately tasks and responsibilities. Meanwhile, the mute Gerasim's grief slowly dissipated with the arrival of Mumu, the beautiful dog he had cared for since he was a puppy. But one day the dog crossed the limits of where she lived with Gerasim and upon seeing her the mistress fell in love with her but when she ordered to be shown her, the dog almost bit her and barked at her. Immediately, as if the beast were the rich old woman and not the dog, he got angry with her and called the boss Gavriil. "Why do we need a dog? Just start a riot and get rid of the dog." However, life gave the rich old woman the worst setback that a human being can receive; she fell ill after an evening with the piano and her servants as an audience. IN his bed, dying or pretending to faint, he asks that the dog be taken to his chambers and the royal henchman Gavriil went with Gerasim. And not even with the threat of punishment and even hanging did he bring Mumu to him. The ending is deeply sad, he preferred to drown the little animal and escape from the place rather than take it to the conceited and capricious old woman.
